KATIE ORD

Katie is a member of the board of directors at Labor of Love USA since 2014 and is a part of their team often working behind the scenes on many different projects. She is one of the original creators of Change the Musical since the beginning and plays a leading role of Von Villain.

For her full time job, Katie is the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at East Stroudsburg University. She helped lead her team to a NCAA DII National Field Hockey Championship in 2015 & 2022, National Runner-Up in 2018, National Semifinalist in 2017, 2019 & 2021, and 3 conference championships. She is also the secretary on ESU’s Alumni Association Board of Directors.

At the university, Katie is the advisor and volunteer for ESU’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) where she runs the weekly meeting for the students and is a mentor for many of ESU’s athletes. Through her involvement with FCA, she has taken 2 missions trips to the Dominican Republic with several of her students that join a larger group of athletes to serve. Her next trip will be in May 2024.

Since 2020, Katie has run a weekly zoom Bible study for the young adults that she has impacted over the years. This is where her greatest passion lies: in teaching God’s word, mentoring and discipling young adults.

“I am passionate about God’s word and helping others through the wisdom found in it. After becoming a Christian in 2004, at the beginning of my sophomore year in college, I immediately fell in love with the Bible. I was drawn in by it’s wisdom, and it really began to transform my life. Immediately I wanted to share the things I was learning with others. That zeal is still with me today! I feel like an archeologist digging through the scriptures discovering insights to help me and others.”  Acts 29.
